As I look about the office, an old traditional Christmas carol comes to my mind, "Deck the Halls . . . Tis the season to be jolly." Our Team has decorated the lobby and throughout the office, employees are wearing Christmas sweaters and we are all enjoying the delicious results of an employee cookie exchange. This is a wonderful illustration of how our employees participate in Envirologic activities. We have focused in 2018 on truly involving our staff members by soliciting input on how to constantly improve the ways we provide our services, as well as how our team members are personally fulfilled at work. Team representation and action is implemented through our recently instated Rocket Team, which has gone through extensive training and is tackling and addressing opportunities for improvement identified by our employees. Throughout 2018 our employees have also benefited from 23 training opportunities offered through our Technical Training program. Many of these sessions were conducted by internal staff, but outside experts were also periodically invited.
Why am I giving you a peek into the internal workings of Envirologic? Because I believe it demonstrates the commitment Envirologic is making to provide the best resources for our clients in terms of talent, expertise and services. I am so proud of the efforts our Team makes for our clients on a day-to-day basis and the positive outcomes of those efforts. It is truly our vision to Do Good Work to Do Good.
Looking forward to 2019 is especially exciting as Envirologic will be kicking off and celebrating our 30th year in business. Stay tuned for announcements and events that will not only celebrate our anniversary in the environmental consulting business, but also the many long-term relationships that we have developed with our clients over the years. In honor of these relationships, Envirologic adopted a family again this year through Family & Children s Services, a nonprofit organization that has been the voice of concern and compassion for our most vulnerable citizens for 115 years. We chose this organization because we believe in their mission to support, strengthen and preserve the safety, well-being, and dignity of children, individuals, and families. If you are interested in learning more about the organization or supporting their mission, please visit their website.
On behalf of the entire Envirologic Team, we would like to take a moment to thank you for the many opportunities we have had to work together in 2018. We also hope that you and your families will have a very happy holiday season including a fantastic New Year.
Our office with be closed for the holidays:
